The Ribble Valley is a renowned area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).  

Dusty Clough Barn has fabulous panoramic fell views, positioned in rolling green pastures.

Dusty Clough Barn is the perfect base for scenic walks, runs or rides. There are several stimulating routes close by, not least the 6.7-mile (10.7km) Tolkien Trail which takes in areas beloved of the famous author of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.

Fishing enthusiasts coming to the area are spoilt for choice. In addition to local rivers there are several stocked reservoirs and lakes to recommend, dependant of preference.

Sited within six miles of Clitheroe and only five miles from Garstang, Dusty Clough Barn is an ideal starting point for exploring the local towns, villages and sites. The lengthy list of places worthy of exploration includes the bustling village of Whalley, Hurst Green and Longridge for shops, bars and cafes. 

Stonyhurst College – a coeducational Jesuit independent school that occupies a Grade I listed building is only a ten minute drive.  The are also places of historical interest such as the Roman Museum in Ribchester, Whalley Abbey and Clitheroe Castle.
